  • Off-gassing is the term for what happens when volatile organic compounds (VOCs) created during mattress manufacturing are released into the air. Those VOC's can carry unpleasant chemical smells, respiratory irritants, and other health risks. A Henwood mattress will never off-gas in your home. By the time the foam goes into your mattress, any off-gassing has already happened at the facility where the foam is made. We don't ship any foams to our factories until they are 100% stable.

  • Yes, we deliver all over South Africa, lead times may vary on the destination and the level of access, some remote game lodges have been particularly interesting but we also do what needs to be done to get you your order.

    Turning and rotation is important to extend the products lifespan. This is due to the weights of different users or if the product has been designed to be single or double sided.

    This is usually done monthly.

  • Worst case scenario your order can be completed within ten working days, delivery is dependent on the final address but this is generally completed within five working days.

  • Generally any foam higher than a 20 density can be considered high density. Our specifications are upwards of 25 density as the main comfort layer foam & over 45 for our support layer foams.

Warranty

  • More often than not it wont be the mattress. The base is usually the culprit. An easy check is to place the mattress on the floor and test to see if the sound persists.

  • Check the quilt pattern of your mattress, if it is not matching the other side or if there is a black material finish it is likely a single sided product.

  • A guarantee is a period that is cost free in the event of production faults or material defects.

    A warranty starts immediately after the guarantee period has lapsed. There are minor charges which apply in this period such as cartage or material costs.

  • We are able to assist you regardless. though your query will be managed as a warranty claim.
