Foams

The largest are of innovation in the last decade has been foams and their immediate alternatives. Our range combines the adaptive pressure relief of gel memory foam, which draws heat away from the body for a cooler, more restful sleep, with the natural antimicrobial and cooling properties of copper-infused foam, working at a cellular level to keep your sleep environment fresh and regulated. Beneath it all, high-density support foams provide the structural foundation your body needs — resilient, durable, and precisely calibrated to maintain their integrity night after night.   • A mattress is a blind purchase, Not being able to investigate a products internals limits your ability to understand it fully. Reputable retailers with high quality products are transparent on the build of the product, who their manufacturers are and how their products are made. Quick checks can be product weight. Better quality product tends to be heavier.

  • This is a globally recognized, independent testing and safety label for textiles. It verifies that very component of the product and its construction is has been rigorously tested.

  • Henwood® foams are the highest grades. Foams are tested rigorously by independent labs for recovery, hardness, decay and composition. This is done in various ways such as pounding tests, compression or burn residue.

  • Bases are constructed with a high grade treated pine. We do not use Eco pine (pine with the bark on it). We kiln dry all of our pine to ensure it is clean of impurities such as mold or insects prior to use.

  • There are many differences though both make a wonderful product. The construction processes are essentially Knit being a woven product and Jacquard being non woven with a more traditional construction technique being used. Other differences are the use of yarns and other materials being knitted into the products.

  • This is material, either fabric, foam or some other addition to the mattress that reduces microbial growth and spread. It is good for all round health and a products long term hygene but particularly helpful if you suffer from Hay Fever or other allergies.
